Speaking for the Voiceless: Awareness and Prevention of Animal Cruelty
Alison is currently a sophomore at Metropolitan State University and will be transitioning to Century College to major in Dental Hygiene with a minor in Theatre. Her career goal is to be a successful Dental Hygienist as well
as continue acting in community theatre productions. In addition, Alison dreams of managing her own horse rescue organization as part of her passion to end animal cruelty.
In 2006, Alison began volunteering at the Minnesota Hooved Animal Rescue in Zimmerman, MN, putting in a total of around 20 hours of volunteer work at the shelter. She has also found a great deal of self fulfillment by raising money for the ASPCA, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, through public presentations and original advertisements, participating in the Walk for Animals, and adopting animals from the American Humane Society.

Dear Potential Miss Moorhead Contestant,
The Miss Moorhead Committee is excited and looking forward to crowning Miss Moorhead 2012. The pageant is held in conjunction with "Greater Moorhead" Days September 7th-14th. The crowning of Miss Moorhead and Miss Red River Valley Outstanding Teen will be held on Saturday, September 8th, 2012 6:30pm @ Moorhead High School All tickets are $15.00 We have worked hard to organize the event so that all activities will take place on pageant day; from morning registration through the pageant in the evening. The one day schedule will make it easier on your busy student life. We have closed practices all day long. No one is allowed backstage or in the dressing rooms prior or during the pageant other than Miss Moorhead/Miss RRVOT Pageant Committee Members. Our committee will assist you in hair, make-up, and wardrobe. You are responsible for bringing all items such as make-up, hair spray, pins, etc... We will provide a light breakfast, lunch, & dinner. Miss RRVOT is the “Little Sister” program to the Miss Moorhead Scholarship Program. The program is part of the Miss Minnesota/Miss America System. The pageant is held in September, in conjunction with
“GREATER MOORHEAD DAYS,” in Moorhead, MN. Young women from the State of Minnesota are welcomed to enter the competition. Age eligibility is 13 to 17 years of age. Please click on the Miss RRVOT Link for more information. |
Could You Be the Next Miss Moorhead?
The lucky young woman crowned Miss Moorhead 2012 will compete for Miss Minnesota 2013. She will be awarded a $500 Scholarship, the “Official” Miss America Local Crown & Sash, the opportunity to promote her personal platform, and represent the great community of Moorhead, MN.
